Galaxy Entertainment invited government health workers to provide outreach Covid-19 vaccination services for its employees on Thursday and Vice Chairman Francis Lui took the lead to get the shot in a bid to drive up vaccination rates in the company.
Mr Lui said his company would fully support the government’s vaccination program with the aim of building herd immunity in Macau. He added that he was grateful for the government’s timely measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the gaming hub and gave special thanks to all frontline healthcare workers.
Other members of senior management at Galaxy Entertainment also took part in the 3-day outreach vaccination campaign, taking the shots after their vice chairman. Employees who got vaccinated were given two extra days of paid leave.
The Director of the Health Bureau Alvis Lo Iek Long went to Galaxy Resort, where the outreach services were provided, to show his support. Mr Lo said he was glad to see the great response to the campaign and hoped more Galaxy employees would take part.
