Galaxy stated that the first training course at Seac Pai Van Public School was successfully held recently. Under the guidance of professional coaches and school teachers, students first learned the basic knowledge of golf and then engaged in foundational training using golf training equipment tailored for beginners. Galaxy’s Assistant Vice President of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility, Annie Loi, along with professional coach representative Geofrey Sou from the Macau Professional Golf Association and other guests, attended the event to join students in experiencing the charm of golf, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Sou said during the event, “We thank Galaxy for its title sponsorship and co-hosting of this program, providing more opportunities for Macau teachers and students to engage with golf. The Macau Professional Golf Association aims to bring this program to schools in Macau in collaboration with Galaxy, enhancing the variety of sports available to teachers and students, thus contributing to the cultivation of local youth sports talent.”
The ” PGA Tour Dreams ” program targets students aged 6 to 12. Physical education teachers from participating schools will first receive golf teaching training from certified coaches, followed by a 7-week course for students under the coaches’ guidance. This approach encourages teachers to promote golf in their daily lessons, allowing more students to engage with the sport. Additionally, the training equipment used in the program is designed for beginners, including child-sized clubs and lightweight golf balls, enabling students to gradually understand the sport through systematic teaching, professional equipment, and hands-on practice. After the course concludes, the organizers will also hold related competitions and award ceremonies to encourage students to actively participate in learning and identify potential talent.
Galaxy has consistently worked to enhance local youth’s interest and attention toward sports. In addition to hosting major international sports events, such as the “WTT Macau Championships 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment,” the “2024 Macau International Table Tennis Federation Men’s and Women’s World Cup,” and the “Galaxy Entertainment Group World Women’s Volleyball League Macau 2024,” Galaxy invites students from various local schools to attend these events and experience the vibrant sports atmosphere.
