The Macau Government Tourism Office has announced that the average hotel price in Macau for September was MOP 1,282.3, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 9.3%. The overall occupancy rate for the month reached 90.9%. In particular, the average price for five-star hotels was MOP 1,441.7, a year-on-year decline of 10.2%. From January to September this year, the average hotel occupancy rate in Macau was 91%, an increase of 7.7 percentage points year-on-year, with three-star hotels achieving the highest occupancy rate at 94.4%.
In September, the average occupancy rate of all hotels in Macau was 90.9%, an increase of 8.9 percentage points year-on-year. The occupancy rate for five-star hotels reached 91.9%, up by 9.9 percentage points compared to the same period last year, with the average price dropping by 10.2% to MOP 1,441.7. Four-star hotels had an occupancy rate of 83.2%, up by 7.2 percentage points year-on-year, and their average price fell by 9.8% to MOP 861. Three-star hotels boasted the highest occupancy rate at 94.8%, an increase of 5.5 percentage points year-on-year, while their average price dropped by 4.9% to MOP 892.2.
From January to September, the overall average hotel occupancy rate in Macau was 91%, up by 7.7 percentage points year-on-year. Five-star hotels saw an occupancy rate of 92%, an increase of 9.1 percentage points, with the average price rising by 6.1% to MOP 1,571.2. Meanwhile, four-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 84.1%, up by 4.9 percentage points year-on-year, though their average price dropped slightly by 0.9% to MOP 929.7. Three-star hotels had an occupancy rate of 94.4%, an increase of 3.9 percentage points compared to the same period last year, with the average price falling by 2.5% to MOP 945.8.
