Gambling king Stanley Ho’s body finally laid to rest

Late tycoon Stanley Ho Hung-sun was officially buried on 30 May at the family cemetery, the Chiu Yuen Cemetery, one year after he passed away at the Sanatorium and Hospital in Hong Kong at the age of 98.

The funeral of Stanley Ho, Macau’s casino pioneer and founder of STDM, was held in the Hong Kong Funeral Home from July 8th to 10th last year. But his formal burial was delayed till yesterday due to “feng shui” reasons. Ho’s body was temporarily stored at TWGHs Coffin Home starting 17th July 2020 till burial.

The late tycoon was buried beside his parents at the family cemetery on Mount Davies in Hong Kong. The Ho cemetery supposedly has good feng shui and beautiful scenery. All his family members were present, including his four sons, Mario Ho, Orlando Ho, Lawrence Ho and Arnaldo Ho.

Second son Lawrence Ho carried his father’s picture during the funeral. Daughters Pansy Ho and Daisy Ho went to the cemetery ahead of others to prepare for the burial at 10am. The rest of the Ho family showed up consecutively for the ceremony.
